Become a Friend of Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust and make a difference to musical children.
Wells Cathedral Choir offers unrivalled opportunities for musical children to develop their skills and to flourish in a world of music and song. But many families cannot afford to pay for the all-round education that a Wells Cathedral Chorister gets and we lose talented voices every year because of that.
The Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust wants to raise enough money to make sure that no deserving child misses out on this unique chance and with your regular support we will.

Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust is working hard to ensure that any musical child can benefit from the wonderful start in life that being a Chorister provides. Your support to help build the endowment fund to make this happen is invaluable. It will ensure that no gifted child is excluded from the opportunity to flourish in a world of music and song.

How you can help to make a difference
Each year, despite having the raw musical talent, some children are unable to take up their place as a chorister at Wells due to a lack of money and those voices are lost. With your help as a Friend of The Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust we will give this wonderful chance to young children from all backgrounds, because talent crops up everywhere.
To help secure the future of the Cathedral Choir the Trust’s goal is to increase the regular income raised from our Friends to £100k per year.
You can become part of how our family of Friends contribute to those funds by setting up a regular monthly gift, because regular support is best. It helps the Trust to plan ahead, reduces administration costs and supports more children.
Everyone who joins our family by making a monthly contribution is a Friend of the Trust and we are grateful for any support, however there are two suggested levels:
Our Friends suggested donation is £30 a month, but we gratefully welcome any regular contribution.
We would be delighted for some of the younger members of our community to join our Friends scheme and suggest a contribution of £5 per month for ‘junior’ Friends who are under 25.
We also welcome one-off donations at any time by personal cheque or via the website.
