Cantiamo Concert
On the evening of the 14th June Cantiamo performed a wonderful concert in the beautiful Chapel at the Bishop’s Palace, by kind permission of Bishop Michael, in support of the Chorister Trust.
The singers performed pieces on the theme of Creation including ‘In the Beginning’ a work by Aaron Copland. The Musical director for Cantiamo is Jeremy Martin and they were joined on this occasion by soprano soloist Josephine Goddard.
This was a very special concert, with wonderful music, in a beautiful setting and enjoyed by all who attended. Chair of WCCT Arnold Wills said’ I would like to express particular gratitude to Mark Bide for suggesting this event. We are so grateful that this concert was held in aid of Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust and we hope it might be the start of a new tradition.’
Cantiamo was formed in 2017 as a group of 16 singers based in North Somerset. Their home is All Saints’ Church, Wrington, where rehearsals take place as do the majority of concerts. All concerts are performed for the benefit of churches and other charities.
