The Gesualdo Six: Passion & Polyphony
Saturday 14 May 2022 at 7.00pm in the Nave of Wells Cathedral
We are delighted that the Gesualdo Six, directed by former Wells Organ Scholar, Owain Park, are returning to Wells to perform a concert in aid of Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust.
The Gesualdo Six will present an exhibition of some of the finest vocal consort works from renaissance and modern-day composers. Works from the Golden Age of polyphony by Tallis, Byrd and Gombert will be juxtaposed with contemporary music by Donna McKevitt, Eleanor Daley and Richard Barnard. The concert will feature a collaboration with the Choristers of Wells Cathedral Choir, and works for voices and trumpet with former chorister, Erin Davies.
Tickets will be priced from £20-£35 and are available via Eventbrite by clicking on the button below.
